I threw myself into painting and collage while in college and continue to produce with varying degrees of skill. I was fortunate to be part of three group shows in the early 1990s, hosted by the Limner Gallery, which was across the street from my apartment on 10th Street and First Avenue. The first show was at that location, while the second and third shows were at the Limner after they moved to Houston and Broadway.
"Tree Study 1" [oil on canvas board, 8/17/87] and the sculpture "Man With Two By Four Nose Through Television" were on exhibit at the first show, the latter of which still exists as
"Man With Two By Four Nose in Empty Aquarium Television" [painted clay, wood, glass, plastic, circa 1987] which is a hybrid of the face of the original sculpture and a 10 gallon aquarium in the case of a 19-inch TV
Pieces from the second and third shows identified within the photographs:
Top: "Heart-Tree Cave Painting" [oil on canvas]
Bottom: "Flower" [flower and acrylic on paper]
Top: "Genitalia Rossellini" [paper collage]
Bottom: "Vogue Nov." [paper collage]
